Matthieu Patouillet (21) will find any game time hard to come by this season. Dominik Greif has joined Olympique Lyonnais from Mallorca, whilst it is the experienced Rémy Descamps who has started for OL in Ligue 1 so far this season.
Patouillet, who came through the academy at Lyon, is unlikely to get any game time, whilst the goalkeeper also has just one year remaining on his contract. He is also refusing an extension, and so he is nearing an exit, as per a report from L’Équipe.
Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are looking for a backup for Bono, and Patouillet looks to be their man. The goalkeeper will go away on international duty mid-season to compete with Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Patouillet will be expected to start in Bono’s absence during that time.
As per L’Équipe, OL have accepted a €350,000 bid for their academy product. OL will retain a 20% sell-on clause. The player has yet to strike an agreement with Al-Hilal, however, he is expected to do so in the coming days.
