Lyon ‘monitoring’ centre-backs amid interest in Ruben Kluivert

According to Get French Football News, Lyon are monitoring the centre-back market before the deadline, with Ruben Kluivert drawing interest from several European clubs. A departure in the coming days could push OL to recruit.

Kluivert, 24, the son of Patrick, started slowly at Groupama Stadium but has featured more in recent weeks.

With Moussa Niakhaté and Clinton Mata on AFCON duty, the Dutch defender has stepped into the defence and impressed. He has also shown versatility, filling in at right-back when needed.

OL signed him in the summer for just under €4m from Casa Pia.

He has made 17 appearances and scored two goals in all competitions since arriving, and could depart around six months after joining.
