Maghnes Akliouche doubtful for Monaco v Angers, medical to decide | OneFootball

According to L'Équipe, Monaco attacking midfielder Maghnes Akliouche is a slight doubt for Saturday's home match against Angers, with a medical assessment in the coming hours set to determine his availability.

He sustained a hip problem against Nantes on 12 February, a match that finished 3-1.

He missed the trip to Lens last weekend, a 3-2 game, then started both Champions League play-off matches against PSG, the 2-3 fixture and Wednesday's 2-2 at the Parc des Princes.

Head coach Sébastien Pocognoli said resting him for Lens allowed continued work on the issue, which remains recent and needs managing, and that Akliouche brought immediate freshness on his return.

Pocognoli added that Akliouche is among two or three players scheduled for medical checks on Friday afternoon, and they will see on Saturday how things stand.
