Magpies to face Qarabağ FK in UEFA Champions League knockout round play-off | OneFootball

Friday morning's draw at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland paired us with the Misli Premyer Liqası side from Azerbaijan.

We finished 12th in the 36-team league phase with 14 points from eight games, while Gurban Gurbanov's Qarabağ finished 22nd with ten points.

When will our knockout phase play-off take place?

The tie will take place over two legs, with the first leg set to be played at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium and the second leg at St. James' Park.

Each club will, in principle, play once on a Tuesday and once on a Wednesday. UEFA will shortly confirm the calendar, including match dates and kick-off times.

First leg: 17th/18th February 2026 Second leg: 24th/25th February 2026

The eight clubs that prevail in the knockout phase play-offs progress to the round of 16, the draw for which takes place on Friday, 27th February 2026.
