According to Meu Timao, a majority of Corinthians supporters want the club to prioritise the 2026 Copa Libertadores for the rest of the season.
The competition topped a fan poll with 56.4% of votes. A further 25.1% preferred no priority across the remaining competitions, with the Brasileirão on 12.7% and the Copa do Brasil on 5.8%.
Corinthians, eliminated in 2025’s preliminary phase, will chase a second Libertadores crown from the group stage. Opponents will be set in a 19 March draw in Paraguay. The six group fixtures fall between 7 April and 28 May.
The league began in January and has 34 rounds still to play. After four matches, Corinthians sit third on seven points, three behind leaders Palmeiras and São Paulo. The seven-time champions finished 13th last year.
The Copa do Brasil carries recent goodwill after the club ended a 16-year wait to win a fourth title in 2025, beating Vasco da Gama. Their 2026 bow is scheduled between 22 and 23 April in the fifth phase.
So far in 2026, Dorival Júnior’s side have lifted the Supercopa do Brasil and exited the Paulistão in the semi-finals. Next up is Coritiba at Neo Química Arena on Wednesday 11 at 21:30, in the Brasileirão’s fifth round.
