Everything is ready for the start of Roma’s new season, which will celebrate its centenary and its return to the Champions League after a seven-year absence.
A summer of hard work awaits Gian Piero Gasperini’s team, who will now have two key players at their disposal.
Malen and Evan Ndicka will begin their training camp with the Giallorossi club today. Both are returning from the World Cup, which the Ivorian experienced on the bench due to the injury sustained in the derby at the end of May.
Despite this, he was called up but did not appear in any of the four matches played by the Ivory Coast. Malen, on the other hand, returns from a World Cup in which he never really featured.
His statistics are not the best: zero goals in four games and his relationship with coach Koeman has never really taken off, given also the latter’s choice of the Roma striker, forced to play as a winger from the second match onwards instead of a centre forward, with Koeman preferring Brobbey.
The two players, after undergoing the usual medicals, should be available as early as tomorrow, when the Roman club will immediately take to the field for the test against Trastevere.
