Rosenior replaced Enzo Maresca at the start of January, and signed a six year contract at Stamford Bridge, although there’s understood to be a break clause.
The 41-year-old made a good start to his tenure, but the wheels have very much started to fall off in recent weeks.
Chelsea’s form has taken a serious dip, and the Blues have lost their last four games in a row in all competitions, whilst they’ve failed to score in their last three.
It’s not just the defeats but also the manner of them, especially the second leg against PSG and the loss to Everton.
Rosenior has come under increased pressure, and has even been accused of losing the dressing room, with it looking like players simply aren’t buying into his ideas.
However, Chelsea appear to still be backing Rosenior, and Gusto has admitted he can’t understand the level of criticism coming his way.
“I think he [Rosenior] is a top coach, I saw that a lot of people criticised him,” he told ESPN.
“Not really [understanding why he is being criticised so much] I have worked with him a lot since he joined Chelsea.
“I think he is a top person first of all, a top manager as well and as you say, he is young.”

Despite being on a difficult run, Gusto has insisted the players must believe in Rosenior and the way he wants to play.

“He is a lot of things for the future, but if he is the Chelsea manager it is because he has the talent for this.
“As I said before, for us as a team, we have to believe in him, believe in the way we play, to stick to our plan and see how it goes.”
