According to Nottingham Post, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement for the transfer of Elliot Anderson.
The 23-year-old attracted interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid, but City appear to have won the race after making him their top summer target.
Anderson must still agree personal terms before any move to the Etihad Stadium. It was seemingly third time lucky for City, whose offers of £106m plus add-ons and £120m were rejected before a breakthrough was made.
Anderson enjoyed a breakout campaign at the City Ground, scoring four goals and providing four assists in 38 appearances.
He also played 12 times in the Europa League, helping Forest into the semi-finals, where they lost 4-1 on aggregate to eventual winners Aston Villa.
The Whitley Bay-born midfielder is currently at the World Cup with the Three Lions and has played in both of England's matches, providing an assist in the 4-2 opening day win over Croatia.
