Man City ready €100m bid for Yan Diomande after Real Madrid enter race | OneFootball

Manchester City have joined the race to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande this summer, according to Sky Germany. 

They are considering submitting a bid after Leipzig rejected approaches from Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Those two bids were rumoured to be around €100 million, but the German club wants €130m.

They are also hoping they can get him to sign a new deal and stay for another year. But he is open to leaving. 

Diomande wanted to move to Paris Saint-Germain, but they are unwilling to match the asking price. That leaves Man City and Real Madrid.

City could use another wide forward with Savinho on the verge of leaving for Tottenham Hotspur. Antoine Semenyo and Jeremy Doku have blown hot and cold. 

Diomande would give Enzo Maresca’s side a different dimension in attack as they look to wrestle the Premier League crown back from Arsenal.

It is unclear where the Ivory Coast international will end up, with several European giants pulling him in different directions. 

Real Madrid also need a right-sided winger with Franco Mastantuono failing to live up to the hype and Brahim Diaz looking to leave in search of playing time.

They briefly considered a move for Michael Olise before realising that Bayern Munich would not sell at any price.

Los Blancos are going all in for Diomande and Man City are not backing down either, setting up a fantastic transfer battle that could play out for weeks.

It is worth noting that Liverpool and PSG can re-enter the race at any point and match Leipzig’s fee. The decision ultimately rests with the player.
