According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Shea Lacey, Harrison Murray-Campbell, and Lakyle Samuel trained with the England first team today ahead of their international friendly game with Wales at Wembley Stadium on Thursday evening. The trio were also named in the England U20 squad for their friendly game against Switzerland on Friday and have now been handed the opportunity to impress manager Thomas Tuchel.Lacey is one of the most outstanding talents in the Manchester United academy. He has scored two goals in the Premier League 2 games this season. The 18-year-old can play in several positions but is primarily a right winger. He has a strong dribbling ability, is creative and a free-kick specialist. He and Jack Fletcher, son of United legend Darren Fletcher, are the two academy players that are reportedly the closest to joining the first team.Murray-Campbell has stood out at the Chelsea academy and is capable of playing across the backline. He has demonstrated his attacking quality for Chelsea U21s this season, registering four goal involvements in six league games. The 19-year-old debuted for Enzo Maresca’s side last season, replacing Axel Disasi in the UEFA Conference League clash with Irish Side Shamrock Rovers.Samuel is a product of Manchester City’s academy and is currently on a season-long loan at League Two side Bromley.Described as a composed and adaptable defender, the 19-year-old can play at right-back and centre-back. He featured for Pep Guardiola’s side in a friendly against Chelsea last year.Lacey, Murray-Campbell and Samuel may not feature when England face Wales, given the plethora of options Tuchel has at his disposal. However, their involvement with the first team underscores how highly rated they are and could be handed their senior international debut soon.
