The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have early this week been afforded a fresh boost on the transfer front.

This comes amid confirmation that Premier League heavyweights Manchester United could well be in line to close a deal for another attacking signing.

The Red Devils late last week tied up a deal to bring in Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

And if the latest word stemming from the English media is anything to go by, then the attacking ranks of boss Ruben Amorim could soon be reinforced once more.

As per transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, citing information from the reliable David Ornstein:

‘Bryan Mbeumo has decided to give priority to Manchester United move this summer! Despite interest from three clubs in Premier League, Mbeumo favours Man United move.’

And such news will no doubt go down a treat with those in the boardroom at the aforementioned Barcelona.

The Blaugrana are of course expressing a keen interest in an out-of-favour member of United’s squad at present, in the form of Marcus Rashford.

Deco and co. are understood to have earmarked the England international as their first-choice backup to priority winger target Luis Díaz of Liverpool.

Should Mbeumo’s arrival in Manchester be added to that of Cunha, Rashford, in turn, will only be pushed ever further towards the Old Trafford exit door.
