Harry Maguire and Mason Mount could miss Manchester United’s clash with Brighton on Saturday.

The English duo have both suffered knocks which make them doubts for the game.

“The squad is fine, we have some doubts,” boss Ruben Amorim said.

“We had some issues during the week with Harry Maguire and Mason Mount.

“Nothing serious but some knocks. We will see tomorrow.”

United could make it three wins in a row in the league should they beat Brighton, following wins over Sunderland and Liverpool.

But Amorim was keen to stress that “fine margins” decided the game against their Merseyside rivals last time out and insists no one should be getting carried away.

“If [Cody] Gakpo’s shot was 20cm different then the narrative would be different.

“My point of view is that we need to be clear on our path and not change so much because we win one game.”

Lisandro Martinez is also still out but is closing in on a return following several months out with an ACL injury.

“He trained really well,” Amorim said. “Not with us but he was on the next pitch. I was watching also the training. He is feeling well.

“He is responding really well. I don’t want to say that one specific day or one week. Then it depends on the rhythm of the training.”
