Leeds United visit Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night in the Premier League, with the final injury picture now set. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, six players are ruled out and four are doubts, with a star expected back.
It is the first league match in over two weeks for both sides and United’s first outing for 24 days. Out of the FA Cup and Europe, they last played in a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth on Friday, March 20, when Harry Maguire was sent off. United flew to Dublin this week for an intensive training camp.
Leeds had no such break, edging West Ham on penalties after extra-time in last Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final, 4-2 in the shootout. Injuries followed and Daniel Farke provided updates on Thursday, with Michael Carrick speaking on Saturday.
Anton Stach suffered ankle ligament damage at West Ham and is sidelined, with May more realistic than April for a return. Joe Rodon, also forced off with an ankle issue, is on a similar timeline. Dan James has an adductor strain and will miss Monday.
Maguire is suspended for United. Patrick Dorgu, out since January’s 3-2 win at Arsenal with a hamstring problem, travelled to Dublin but remains in rehab and is ruled out of Monday. Matthijs de Ligt, absent since November with a back injury, also remains out.
