Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City players have now found out who they will face in the semi-final stage of this season’s FA Cup.
City’s 2025/26 FA Cup campaign has been a relentless display of dominance, but also characterised by clinical finishing and defensive solidity beginning with a staggering 10-1 demolition of Exeter City in the third round.
That result was then followed up with a professional 2-0 victory over Salford City and a resilient 1-3 comeback against Newcastle United at St James’ Park, where Omar Marmoush’s brace secured passage into the final eight.
The Blues then reached a historic milestone by becoming the first club to book eight consecutive FA Cup semi-final appearances after a 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool, fuelled by an Erling Haaland hat-trick and a clean sheet preserved by James Trafford’s penalty save to deny Mohamed Salah a final goal at the Etihad Stadium as an Anfield representative.
Having already secured the Carabao Cup via an impressive victory over double-chasing Arsenal, Manchester City now head to Wembley for the semi-finals with their sights firmly set on another domestic cup double.
Following the conclusion of the last-four draw on Sunday evening, it has now been confirmed that Pep Guardiola and his players will take on Championship outfit Southampton in the semi-final stage of the competition at Wembley Stadium.

The semi-finals of the Emirates FA Cup will take place at Wembley Stadium on the weekend of Saturday 25 April & Sunday 26 April.
For Manchester City, that will mean their tie will follow the high-profile Premier League showdown with Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium, and precede a midweek trip to Turf Moor against Burnley – which has been reallocated following the club’s progression in the cup.
