Manchester City find out Carabao Cup fourth round opponents after Huddersfield win and completed draw

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have now found out their opponents for the next round of the Carabao Cup following the completed fourth round draw.

The Etihad Stadium side progressed into the fourth round of the competition via victory on Wednesday night as they dismissed of League One opposition in Huddersfield Town at the Accu Stadium.

Guardiola’s squad came into the clash off the back of a difficult stretch of games last week, with victories over Manchester United and Napoli in the Premier League and Champions League, before enduring a battling 1-1 draw on the road at Arsenal on Sunday.

Phil Foden put Manchester City ahead in the tie with a thunderous strike from the edge of the penalty area, having combined well with teenage debutant Divine Mukasa – who registered his first senior assist of his top-level career in the process.

Having been frustrated and failing to double their lead for most of the contest, Savinho would smash home a decisive second midway through the second-half receiving the ball inside the area from Foden, to send City into the next stage of the competition.

Now, following the completion of the Carabao Cup Fourth Round draw on Wednesday night, Manchester City have found out that they will face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium in late October.
