Talks between Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain over the transfer of Gianluigi Donnarumma (26) are progressing, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.
Donnarumma’s career at PSG is set to come to an end. Unable to find an agreement to extend his current deal, which is set to expire at the end of the season, PSG opted to sign a replacement in the form of Lucas Chevalier and sell Donnarumma so as to avoid losing him on a free transfer, as they did with Kylian Mbappé.
Manchester City emerged as the leading candidate to welcome the Italian and talks between the clubs are progressing. As per Romano, the fee being discussed is between €30-35m. Le Parisien, however, speak of a fee of around €40m, down from the initial €50m requested by the European champions.
The Italian already has an agreement in place to join Manchester City, but his arrival is dependent on Ederson’s departure. The Brazilian is currently in talks with Galatasaray. Manchester City have also re-signed James Trafford this summer. The Englishman is the current No.1 at the Etihad Stadium.
