How Manchester United could do with a prolific striker like Alexander Isak up front. The Swede has 21 goals this season in all competitions.
He is the second top-scorer among all English clubs and third in the Premier League scoring charts. His consistency since arriving in England has been sensational.
Last season, he had 25 goals to his name while in his debut campaign, the Sweden international had 11 goals in all competitions. His trajectory remains on the up since his €70 million move to Newcastle.
Ruben Amorim only has Rasmus Hojlund to call upon with the Dane managing only seven goals this term while struggling to complete even the basics at the moment with his confidence shot to bits.
The St James’ Park outfit could be forced to sell Isak if they fail to qualify for the Champions League and multiple outfits are ready to pounce. They are currently sixth in the league standings.
The Red Devils are “desperate” for additions up front with Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness) claiming that the Newcastle striker is of interest to United.
However, it will not be an easy “fight” with the presence of multiple top clubs in the race. Arsenal, Liverpool are also keen while Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring proceedings.
The Spanish outlet claims Barcelona are also interested with the 25-year-old “excited” about the possibility of playing at the Camp Nou.
However, the Magpies are likely to ask for at least €100 million for their talisman while the report claims Isak will ask for €18 million in wages.
Both of which Barca will find hard to afford, therefore increasing the chances of the other players in the race.
However, given the financial woes at Old Trafford, INEOS might not be in a position to land the “best striker in the Premier League.”
The 20-time English league champions also have Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres in their sights while Liam Delap is another cost-effective option being monitored.
