In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Manchester United are eyeing a move for Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde next summer. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are eager to acquire the services of the Uruguayan talent at the end of this campaign.
Valverde had another impressive campaign at the Madrid club as he was responsible for putting in a run of influential displays for them in La Liga. The Uruguay international made 65 appearances for Los Blancos last season, scoring 11 times and earning eight assists across all fronts.
The 27-year-old anchored the midfield well after making 50 tackles, 38 blocks, 55 interceptions and 52 clearances in La Liga. He has even been accurate when distributing the ball from midfield after completing 89.9% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Madrid club will run out in the summer of 2029. Thus, Man United would have to make a big offer if they want to bring Valverde to Old Trafford next year.

Valverde loves a tackle and can scan the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is an accurate passer of the ball as well.
The Uruguayan sensation can even contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from midfield. He is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a right-sided wide player or as a right-back if asked to do so.
We can expect Valverde to bring a lot of quality to Man United head coach Ruben Amorim’s midfield department. He is good enough to help the Red Devils challenge for a top-four spot in the Premier League over the next few years.
At 27, Valverde is about to enter his prime, which makes him a dream option for the Mancunian outfit to consider this January or at the end of this campaign. However, only time will tell whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Man United manage to snap him up next year.
