In a recent report, Fussballdaten mentioned that Manchester United are in pole position to recruit Red Bull Leipzig winger Yan Diomande. It is believed that the Red Devils would have to compete with Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid in the race to land the Ivory Coast talent next summer.
Diomande is having a decent campaign at the German club as he has been responsible for putting in a run of eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 19-year-old has banged in nine goals and grabbed six assists in 24 matches for RB Leipzig this season across all fronts.
The Ivory Coast whizkid is currently among the best young wingers in German football. Thus, it is no surprise that Man United are among the clubs hoping to land Diomande this summer.
His current contract at the Red Bull Arena will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for the Red Devils to sign him later this year.

Diomande can make some promising runs with the ball out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.
The Ivory Coast sensation can strike the ball with power from long range and deserves credit for adding a handful of goals and assists to his game this season. Diomande is primarily a left-winger but can also serve as a right-sided wide player if told to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to snap him up next summer.
We can expect Diomande to inject more quality into Man United boss Michael Carrick’s frontline in the long run. He is good enough to compete for regular first-team football at Old Trafford.
At 19, Diomande has got the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each season. With all things considered, he would be a great fit for the Mancunian club’s needs this summer.
