Fenerbahce have signed Mason Greenwood from Marseille in a deal worth €39 million plus bonuses.
Manchester United are set to receive a significant percentage of the transfer fee, having agreed a sell-on clause when the 24-year-old joined Marseille for €31.6m in 2024.
According to The Athletic, United are expected to receive around €13m from the transfer.
Greenwood was among the brightest prospects to emerge from the Man United academy.
He made over 120 appearances for the Red Devils after making his competitive debut in March 2019.
However, he was charged with attempted rape and assault in 2022. Greenwood denied any wrongdoing and was subsequently cleared of all charges.
United refused to reintegrate him into the squad after major public criticism, and sent him on loan to Getafe for the 2023-24 season.
He impressed with his performances during his short spell in Spain, scoring 10 goals in 36 appearances.
Greenwood joined Marseille the following summer. He made 81 senior appearances for the Ligue 1 club, bagging 48 goals and 17 assists.
He has not played for England since his debut for the senior side in September 2020 as an 18-year-old and is unlikely to feature again.
