Manchester United could look to sign a new midfielder in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils brought in three new attackers and a goalkeeper in the summer, leaving them short of funds for a new midfielder.
However, they could address that area of the pitch in January.
United have been linked with Elliot Anderson, but his price tag could be a sticking point. Nottingham Forest are expected to demand a fee in excess of £100 million.
However, journalist Ben Jacobs suggests the England international could be available for a lower fee.
This is great news for United as Anderson is regarded as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League at the moment.
He is highly rated for his dribbling ability, passing and tactical intelligence.
The 23-year-old can also unleash powerful and accurate shots from both long-range and close quarters.
Anderson joined Forest from Newcastle United for £35m in 2024.
He has since been a key player for the Tricky Trees, scoring two goals in 55 appearances in all competitions.
Anderson has also been impressive this campaign, starting all 10 league matches.
He has established himself in the England team and would be an excellent signing for United.
