Manchester United: Amorim responds to the Mainoo situation

Manchester United: here’s why Mainoo is playing less
Kobbie Mainoo’s situation continues to spark debate at Manchester United, as the club struggles for consistency on the pitch. The young midfielder, regarded as one of the club’s brightest prospects, has seen his playing time limited—a decision Rúben Amorim stands by, but one that is widely discussed among United fans.
Speaking at a press conference, the Portuguese manager made sure to clarify his position.
“Of course I value Kobbie Mainoo. But in the end, what matters most are training sessions and matches. Obviously, he’s not playing a lot of games, but Kobbie has had opportunities, especially last year. Everyone has,” he explained,
dismissing the idea of any unjustified exclusion.
In response to criticism from club legends, Amorim answered with a touch of irony:
“The problem is not winning. If I win, I could arrive at matches on horseback, play with only two defenders, and everything would be fine.”
With the upcoming home clash against Bournemouth, the sporting stakes remain high for the Red Devils as they chase credibility.
