In a recent report, The Sun mentioned that Manchester United have identified Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott as a target for this summer transfer window. It has been claimed that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to sign the English talent this off-season.
Scott had a solid campaign at the English club as he put in a string of influential displays for them at the centre of the park. The 22-year-old scored four goals and secured one assist in 39 matches for the Cherries last season in multiple competitions.
The English talent is currently one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League. Hence, the Red Devils would do well to lure him to the Theatre of Dreams in this transfer window.
His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out in the summer of 2028. Therefore, Man United would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Scott later this year.

Scott is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot and is a tidy passer as well.
The English sensation can even contribute by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team from midfield. Scott mainly plays as a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as an attacking midfielder or as a right-winger if told to do so. He has already proven himself in the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at the Mancunian club.
We can expect Scott to bring more bite and steel to Man United boss Michael Carrick’s midfield. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford next season.
At 22, Scott has got the ceiling to be a world-class player in his position someday. Thus, Man United should focus on stepping up their efforts to land him this summer. Scott will also help the Red Devils compete across all fronts in the coming years. With all things considered, he would be a great fit for Carrick’s needs this off-season.
