It is no secret that Manchester United, off the back of a historically poor campaign, are in the market for reinforcements this summer. The centre-forward is a particular priority for Ruben Amorim, with his current options in this position failing to impress over the course of the campaign. The likes of Viktor Gyökeres and Victor Osimhen have been linked, however, as per Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, they have a growing interest in Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike (22).
The Frenchman, who is yet to receive his first call-up from Didier Deschamps, excelled in his first full season in the Bundesliga, to the extent that his club, Eintracht Frankfurt, have slapped a €100m price-tag on their in-demand forward.
However, that has not put off Manchester United, who have now joined the race, expressing a concrete interest in doing a deal. They are not the only Premier League side in the race to sign Ekitiké, with Liverpool and Chelsea also in contention.
