Manchester United are willing to sell Rasmus Hojlund for £30 million, according to BBC Sport.
The Red Devils are in the market for a new striker and have been strongly linked with Benjamin Sesko.
Newcastle United submitted a £70m bid that was turned down by RB Leipzig. The German club are braced for an approach from Man United.
Their interest in Sesko has cast doubt over Hojlund’s future at Old Trafford. The centre-forward joined United two years ago in a deal worth up to £72m.
The club are now prepared to sell him for £30m, which would represent a significant loss on their original outlay.
Hojlund bagged only four goals in 32 Premier League appearances last season, but he scored twice in Wednesday’s friendly against Bournemouth.
Despite United’s interest in Sesko, the Denmark international has made it clear he wants to fight for his place at the club.
United need to make sales to ensure they remain compliant with the Premier League’s financial rules.
They have spent almost £130m on forwards Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha this summer.
