Considering the limited financial resources that FC Barcelona has, no transfer target is a guarantee for now. However, the club continues to work towards sorting that out and even had an important meeting recently. Still, there seems to be a lack of consensus within Barcelona.

While it has been reported recently quite frequently that English winger Marcus Rashford is Barça’s priority target, everyone within the club still does not seem fully convinced. In fact, reports have suggested that it is primarily Barcelona Director Deco who is not completely on board.

However, Barça may need to make up their mind quickly. After all, other interested clubs and even Manchester United may not stay where they are waiting for the Catalan giants to decide whether to make a move or not.

Moreover, according to AS, the Premier League side has already set their asking price for the 27-year-old winger as well. As per the report, the English side reportedly wants €48 million for the winger if any club wants to sign him.

Interestingly, this €48 million valuation set by the English is quite close to the €50 million valuation for the player as per Transfermarkt. Now, the final decision lies with Barcelona and whether or not they decide to make their move.

Barcelona would ideally prefer a loan deal

However, it would reportedly benefit Barça if Manchester United are open to loaning the player. While an optional or mandatory clause to buy the player at the end of the loan could be considered, the loan aspect of the operation is something Barcelona would ideally like.

As for the approval of Hansi Flick, that already seems to be there. Reports have stated that the Barcelona coach has given his green light for the operation already, and he sees Rashford as a profile that could potentially help his team next season.
