Manchester United are monitoring a deal for Fulham star Antonee Robinson (the Guardian).
Robinson has been a key first-team player for the Cottagers since joining from Wigan Athletic in 2020. He has made 215 appearances across all competitions, bagging four goals and 22 assists.
Bolstering midfield is United’s main priority this summer, but they also want a new left-back.
Tyrell Malaica has already left the club, while Patrick Dorgu is expected to continue in an attacking role under manager Michael Carrick next season.
Luke Shaw was United’s first-choice left-back last term, and he impressed with his performances.
However, the club are keen to bring in a new defender to compete with the England international.
They identified Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall as an ideal option, but a deal is proving to be difficult.
Newcastle have already sold Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali in this transfer window, and they are reluctant to lose another key player.
United could turn their attention towards Robinson, who may be available for a lower fee.
The Red Devils have recently signed midfielders Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans from Chelsea and Aston Villa.
They are looking to add another midfielder and reportedly have Roma’s Manu Kone on their radar.
