Manchester United set up Bayern quarter-final in UEFA Women’s Champions League | OneFootball

Manchester United, making their UEFA Women’s Champions League debut, have knocked out Atletico Madrid to book a quarter-final tie against Bayern Munich.

United won the first leg 3-0 in Madrid, then added two first-half goals in the return to ease into the last eight.

Bayern finished the league phase in fourth place. José Barcala’s side beat English rivals Arsenal 3-2 during that stage.

United’s campaign also included a 5-2 defeat away to Wolfsburg on matchday four.

Wolfsburg will face OL Lyonnes in the quarter-finals after seeing off Juventus earlier on Thursday. The winners of that tie will meet either Arsenal or Chelsea in the semi-final.

There will also be an all-Liga F quarter-final as Barcelona play Real Madrid, with the victors to face either Bayern or Manchester United. The final will be played in Oslo at the Ullevaal Stadion on 23rd May.
