Man United vs Leicester: Team News, Predicted Lineup and Injury Latest for Premier League Clash

Manchester United make the trip to Leicester City this weekend, with Ruben Amorim’s side facing another swift turnaround following their Europa League exploits. The Red Devils secured their place in the quarter-finals with a 4-1 win over Real Sociedad on Thursday, but attention now turns back to the Premier League and the battle for Champions League qualification.

Mason Mount Returns to the Squad

After nearly three months out, Mason Mount is set to return to the matchday squad. The midfielder has been sidelined since suffering an injury against Manchester City in December, just as Amorim was settling into the Old Trafford dugout.

Although he was not risked in midweek, Amorim has confirmed that Mount will be involved at the King Power Stadium.

“I think he is going to [be on] the bench,” said the United boss. “We will see, but we need every player and if he is fit, I am going to play him. He cannot play too many minutes, just five minutes of Mason Mount is perfect.”

Midfield Shake-Up as Casemiro Faces Rest

Manuel Ugarte could be handed a start in midfield after shaking off a recent knock. The Uruguayan was only named on the bench against Sociedad but is in contention to replace Casemiro, who Amorim admitted was “tired” following a demanding run of fixtures.

With Leny Yoro ruled out through injury, Ayden Heaven could retain his place in central defence alongside Victor Lindelof, though Harry Maguire’s availability remains uncertain. Meanwhile, Chido Obi is available for selection again after missing out on Europa League registration.

United will be without Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Amad Diallo, Jonny Evans, and Lisandro Martinez, while Patrick Dorgu serves the final game of his three-match suspension.

Predicted Man United XI

With key players missing, Amorim is likely to make some adjustments to his starting lineup:

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Onana; Heaven, De Ligt, Lindelof; Marazoui; Ugarte, Eriksen, Dalot; Garnacho, Fernandes, Hojlund.
