According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are weighing up a move for 24-year-old Crysencio Summerville as part of a West Ham double swoop with Mateus Fernandes, costing up to £140m. United are said to be assessing wide and midfield options, potentially if Marcus Rashford leaves.
Summerville left Leeds for West Ham in 2024 when his release clause, thought to be around £28m, was triggered. He had lit up the previous Championship season at Elland Road with 21 goals and 10 assists.
He initially struggled at West Ham, then burst into form early in 2026 with six goals in seven. That surge kept survival hopes alive until the final day, when West Ham beat Leeds 3-0 but Tottenham’s win over Everton confirmed relegation.
United will want the fee to drop, though West Ham aim to make a profit on the winger. The Athletic reports a valuation of about £50m for Summerville, who produced five goals and two assists in the Premier League last season.
His eventual price could be influenced by his World Cup, which began well last weekend. Summerville marked his first appearance at the tournament with a curled finish in a 2-2 draw against Ao Tanaka’s Japan.
After that game he reunited with Gaby Ruiz, a key figure in his £1.5m move from Feyenoord to Leeds in 2020 and now with DAZN. Ruiz congratulated him, recalling a prediction he would reach a World Cup, and the winger thanked Ruiz and Victor Orta.
