Ruben Amorim's side bid to maintain good form
Manchester United saw their recent good form grind to a half against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. Ruben Amorim's side had won three straight games against Rangers, Fulham and FCSB to lift the mood around the club following a difficult start to 2025.
However, they just can’t seem to shake off their inconsistent form in the Premier League. Second half goals from Jean-Philippe Mateta condemned United to yet another home defeat, this one in front of January signings Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven. To make matters worse for the Red Devils, it would appear Lisandro Martinez faces a long spell on the sidelines with a serious injury.
Palace climb to 12th place with 30 points, four points off the top half of the table. United drop one place to 13th still on 29 points from 24 games. Read the game back below with our dedicated match blog.
