Ruben Amorim’s side face quick turnaround after Thursday’s win over Real Sociedad
Manchester United will welcome Mason Mount back into their squad for Sunday’s trip to Leicester in the Premier League.
The England midfielder has not featured since suffering an injury against Manchester City in December during the early part of Ruben Amorim’s tenure.
However, Mount has returned to United training and while he missed Thursday’s win over Real Sociedad that sealed progress into the Europa League quarter-finals, Amorim has confirmed the 26-year-old will likely be in the squad for the clash at the King Power Stadium.
"I think he is going to [be on] the bench," said the United boss.
"We will see, but we need every player and if he is fit, I am going to play him. He cannot play too many minutes, just five minutes of Mason Mount is perfect."
Manuel Ugarte recovered from a recent knock to make the bench against Sociedad and is an option to replace Casemiro – who Amorim admitted was “tired” – in the centre of midfield.
Leny Yoro is injured, meaning the impressive Ayden Heaven will battle Victor Lindelof for a starting berth in defence with Harry Maguire also a doubt.
Chido Obi is available again, having not been registered for the Europa League.
None of Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Amad Diallo, Jonny Evans or Lisandro Martinez will feature and Patrick Dorgu will serve the last game of his three-match domestic suspension following the red card he was shown against Ipswich last month.
