Gianluca Mancini has agreed a new contract with Roma, ending Inter’s hopes of luring the defender to Milan.
According to Calciomercato.it, the Italy centre-back’s agent Beppe Riso and the Roma hierarchy have reached a definitive agreement on a deal running to 30 June 2029, with a further option in the club’s favour.
Mancini, whose previous contract was due to expire next summer, will earn €3.5 million per season plus bonuses.

The renewal is a genuine setback for Beppe Marotta, with Inter having pushed for the 1996-born defender right up to the end. The Nerazzurri are hunting centre-back reinforcements after the summer departures of Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij, and Mancini’s expiring deal had made him an appealing target.
Marotta must now redirect his attention to other names on a list that has already featured Bologna’s Jhon Lucumí.
For Roma, it is another cornerstone secured in a productive spell of contract work, following the renewals of Zeki Celik and Paulo Dybala.
Mancini remains a key figure for Gian Piero Gasperini, and tying him down removes one more uncertainty ahead of the club’s return to the Champions League.
