Manor Solomon has been told he is not in Roberto De Zerbi’s plans at Tottenham and can leave this summer, according to football.london. The former Leeds United loanee is surplus to requirements ahead of the new season.
The 26-year-old has made only six competitive appearances for Spurs since joining in 2023. He spent three loan spells after a knee injury curtailed his debut campaign.
Solomon had hoped his former Shakhtar Donetsk boss De Zerbi might hand him a role next term. That has not materialised, and Spurs are set to find him a new club, with two years left on his deal.
He arrived on a free from Shakhtar after a loan at Fulham to bolster Ange Postecoglou’s squad. A bright start, including two assists at Burnley, was halted by a training-ground knee injury six weeks in.
A season-long loan to then-Championship Leeds United followed, where he delivered 10 goals and 13 assists in 41 games to help Daniel Farke’s side win promotion.
An expected permanent move did not come, and he stayed at Spurs until deadline day. A proposed loan to Crystal Palace collapsed despite a deal sheet, before a late switch to Villarreal.
He made one La Liga start there, then moved again in January to struggling Fiorentina. Despite a March thigh injury, he played 16 times, scoring 2 goals and supplying 1 assist as they secured Serie A safety, and he added an assist in the Conference League quarter-final second leg against Palace.
With the Spurs door closed, Solomon will look for another move this summer. Meanwhile, Leeds remain in talks with Southampton over midfielder Shea Charles, hoping for a breakthrough after an initial bid was rejected.
