Corinthians opened preparations for their Brasileirão Feminino opener on Tuesday, with Marcelo Paz watching on at the training centre, according to Meu Timao.

The Brabas visit Atlético-MG on Friday, 13 February, at 21:00 at Arena MRV in Belo Horizonte.

The day began with physical work in the gym, followed by a video session covering tactical guidance. Head coach Lucas Piccinato then led on-field drills emphasising attacking movement and finishing.

Paz, the club’s executive director for the men’s game, attended alongside Iris Sesso, who oversees the women’s department. The women’s team’s official social channels shared images, including Paz pictured with midfielder Gabi Zanotti, Piccinato and Sesso.

The session came after consecutive runners-up finishes. Early in February, Corinthians lost to Arsenal in extra time in the Copa das Campeãs, then a week later they finished second in the Supercopa against Palmeiras.

In 2026 the club will contest the Brasileirão, the Teal Rising Cup, the Campeonato Paulista, the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Libertadores. Last season they won both the Brasileirão and Libertadores, and finished runners-up in the Supercopa and the Paulistão.
