Amar Dedic has ended his 2026 World Cup campaign with Bosnia and Herzegovina and should be available for Benfica’s Europa League qualifiers against St. Gallen, giving Marco Silva a timely lift for the 2026/27 kick-off. According to Glorioso 1904, the right-back is expected to be in contention for both legs.
Bosnia were eliminated by the United States in the round of 32, losing 2-0, which ended the defender’s tournament.
After leaving the competition, he will take a short holiday before reporting back to Seixal. Although he will miss the first sessions under Silva, he is due only a brief break before rejoining the group.
His return bolsters a right-back group that also features Alexander Bah and Daniel Banjaqui.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international is under contract until June 2030 and has a release clause set at 50 million euros.
Last season he played 43 games for Benfica, scoring one goal and providing four assists, performances that underlined his importance on the right.
