The winger once again made a start with Lamine Yamal sidelined through injury.
The 27-year-old came up big for his side in an impressive second half which saw Barca turn over a 0-1 deficit to Real Oviedo and roar back to beat the newly promoted side 3-1.
He almost opened the scoring with a terrific volley after just 11 minutes but his fierce effort was well kept out.
The United academy product had another rasping effort from distance that was again well stopped by Aarón Escandell.
His biggest contribution was grabbing an assist for Barcelona’s third goal of the night, however. His pinpoint corner in the 88th minute was easily guided home by Ronald Araujo.
He completed 89% of his passes and was credited with two key passes in the match.
Rashford also had two shots on target and two efforts blocked but he could not break his La Liga duck.
The winger completed two of his four dribble attempts but lost six out of his eight ground duel attempts.
Rashford will likely next be in action against Real Sociedad on Sunday evening.
Sancho saw action as he played in the final 32 minutes of Villa’s 1-0 victory over Bologna in the Europa League.
He did have one shot off target and completed 100% of his 12 passes.
Sancho also completed his only dribble attempt and had one key pass in the match.
The 25-year old was only able to win one out of his three ground duels attempts though.
The Englishman will likely next be in action when Villa host Fulham on Sunday in the league.
