Marcus Rashford’s future at Barcelona has come under fresh scrutiny following their Champions League exit.

Barcelona’s starting forwards could not overturn the deficit against Atletico Madrid, but it was substitute Rashford whom the Spanish media chose to lambast for his 21-minute cameo in Madrid.

Rashford has been directly involved in 25 goals across all competitions for the Blaugrana, but the club’s hierarchy have yet to make a final decision on his permanent transfer, sparking interest from elsewhere.

Juventus “ready move” for Marcus Rashford

According to SportsBoom, Juventus could attempt to persuade Marcus Rashford to join them next season “if he is unable to negotiate a permanent transfer to Barcelona.”

Barcelona have the option to turn Rashford’s loan into a permanent deal for £26 million.

Furthermore, the Manchester United academy product is reportedly willing to accept a significantly reduced salary to continue his stay in Spain.

However, Barcelona are thought to be exploring cheaper, alternative options in the transfer market.

It is claimed that this development has alerted Juventus, who wanted Rashford before his switch to La Liga, to the possibility of “resurrecting their interest once the current Serie A campaign draws to a close.”

Michael Carrick wants Marcus Rashford at Manchester United

Italy is not believed to be Rashford’s preferred option, but the Old Lady’s chances may improve if it becomes clear that he is not part of Barcelona’s or United’s plans.

It is added that Michael Carrick is open to the possibility of reinstating Rashford into United’s starting eleven.

However, given how he was effectively pushed out of Old Trafford after falling out with Ruben Amorim, the United hierarchy are reluctant to re-open that chapter for a player turning 29 in October.

Earlier today, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming Barcelona are tracking 15-year-old United winger JJ Gabriel, who continues to make waves at youth level.
