Marcus Rashford names Barcelona teammate as ‘the best player in the world’ | OneFootball

New Barcelona signing Marcus Rashford made use of his presentation at the club to lavish praise on a fellow member of Hansi Flick’s squad.

The player in question? Lamine Yamal.

Attackers Rashford and Lamine are of course primed to link up both on and off the pitch for the season ahead.

This comes after the former at last secured his long-anticipated move to Catalunya’s capital on loan for the 2025/26 campaign.

Rashford, in turn, was presented in front of the media in Barcelona on Wednesday evening.

And during this exchange, as alluded to above, the 27-year-old took full advantage of the chance to reveal his appreciation for the talents of Lamine Yamal.

Asked for his take on the abilities of his young teammate, Rashford went as far as to reveal his opinion that the 18-year-old is already the game’s very best player:

“Lamine is the best player in the world. He’s a special talent.”
