Marino Hinestroza signs for Vasco and due in Rio within days | OneFootball

Vasco da Gama finalised on Wednesday the signing of 23-year-old forward Marino Hinestroza on a four-year deal, according to PaponaColina.

He is expected to arrive in Rio de Janeiro in the coming days for medical checks before an official announcement.

The club will pay about US$ five million, roughly R$ 30 million, for 80% of his economic rights from Atlético Nacional, beating Boca Juniors.

The proposal was viewed as superior as it let the Medellín side keep 20% for potential future profit.

Hinestroza has been on the São Januário radar since the Carlos Amodeo administration and was approved by current director, Portuguese Admar Lopes.

A previous pursuit faltered when the club opted for Andrés Gómez, but they returned and won the race against South American heavyweights.

He becomes the club’s third signing for the 2026 season.

The hierarchy aim to announce both Hinestroza and Brenner this week, adding depth to coach Fernando Diniz’s attacking options.
