Leeds United could get another shot at former target Igor Paixao, with a £30m fee being discussed as they prepare for their Premier League return.
L’Equipe reports Marseille could allow the winger to leave this summer and have set an asking price of around €35m (£30m). Foot Mercato claims Leeds value the Brazilian at a similar level, and the figure is said to be lower than previous mooted demands.
Paixao had been linked with Leeds during his time at Feyenoord over the past 12 months. He instead joined Marseille last summer for about €30m (£25.7m).
Leeds have already added Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic, with Wilson arriving as a free agent after leaving Fulham. They are also close to completing a £40m deal for Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford.
It remains to be seen if further attacking reinforcements will be pursued, but the transfer window is open until the first of September.
