Olympique de Marseille's constrained summer has been underscored by an aborted move involving Olivier Ntcham.
According to Foot Mercato, OM explored bringing the 30-year-old back after his six appearances in 2021, but an agreement could not be reached.

Ntcham has been a free agent since leaving Samsunspor in early July. The Cameroonian international has 16 caps and one goal.
He is therefore unlikely to become Marseille’s first signing of the window.
The stalemate feeds wider concern with two weeks to go before the league resumes, despite €42.5m recorded in sales and significant wage savings on Mason Greenwood, 24, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 37.
