Tuesday’s clash is the first of a long run of consecutive league games for the west Londoners, who sit fourth in the PDL South table as it stands.
Saunders’ side were knocked out of the PL Cup last time out, losing 3-2 to Burnley away from home.
The round of 16 clash didn’t start well for the Bees as they went 2-0 down, however they responded well to make it 2-1 at half-time thanks to a Kyrie Pierre strike.
After going 3-1 down in the second half, the west Londoners again responded well and scored through Michel Boni, however they ultimately couldn’t find a late equaliser.
Previously against Charlton, the two sides fought out a 1-1 draw.
Romelle Donovan scored early in the contest, however a late equaliser from Charlton ensured the points were shared.
Charlton come into Tuesday’s fixture sat 10th in the league table with six wins, six draws and four losses.
It’s been a mixed bag of results for Charlton to start 2026, including a 4-1 loss to Bournemouth and a 2-2 draw with QPR last time out.
The Addicks finished the PL Cup group stage second in Group C, but were knocked out in the round of 16 following a 3-2 loss to Watford.
