Fresh from a dominant FA Cup second round qualifying win over Tilehurst Panthers, Brentford Women return to league action against Clapton Community on Sunday (3pm kick-off).

Playing at Gtech Community Stadium for the first time since March, the Bees will be eyeing a third-straight win at the west London stadium against their London South East Division One North rivals.

A victory would continue Karleigh Osborne’s side’s unbeaten run to start the season, which has included four league wins and two cup wins to date.

Last time out

The Bees were dominant from start to finish last time out, beating Tilehurst Panthers 12-1 in FA Cup action at Bedfont Sports Club to win through to third round qualifying of the competition.

Nikki Woods and Chloe Logie starred with a hat-trick each, while Ashley Cheatley added two goals.

Osborne’s side enjoyed two entertaining games against Clapton last season. A Logie brace helped the Bees earn a 2-2 draw in the first instalment at Old Spotted Dog Ground.

She scored again later in the season, a Sophie Troth single also helping Brentford win 2-0 at Bedfont Sports Club.

Clapton enter Sunday’s clash seventh in the league table, with two wins and three losses to their name.

After three-straight losses to Actonians Reserves, Dulwich Hamlet Reserves and Leatherhead to start the league season, Clapton have turned it around in recent weeks, securing back-to-back wins over Denham United (3-2) and Ashmount Leigh (6-3).

Brentford Women B return to Bedfont Sports Club on Sunday to face Islington Borough (3pm kick-off).

While results have not fallen the Bees' way so far in the Greater London Premier Division, the development of the team and individual players has been on display, with performances improving each week.

The Bees fell to a 7-2 defeat against Luton Town Reserves away from home in league action last time out.

Despite a first-half goal from Holly Hawkes and a second-half strike from Orla McComb, Yannawit Khantharat’s side couldn't slow down a strong Luton Town side.

Islington Borough come into Sunday's clash as the league leaders having won three out of three games to start the campaign.

Wins over Luton Town Reserves (3-1), Camden and Islington (5-0) and Headstone Manor (5-1) have helped Islington to first place, their goal differential of +11 the second best in the league behind Hammersmith.

Hannah Short has starred up front, scoring five goals in four appearances so far this season.
