Mateus Mane has spoken publicly for the first time since news emerged of a dressing-room bust-up with Tolu Arokodare, posting a message of support. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the Wolves teenager shared a post on social media.
The altercation followed the 4-0 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium, with Arokodare the sole aggressor. Mane was on the receiving end of the confrontation.
Arokodare was heavily fined by the club and was an unused substitute at Leeds on Saturday.
Mane later posted an Instagram story featuring a photo of the pair, tagging the striker and captioning it “big bro”. He added two emojis, including a heart.
The gesture appeared to support his team-mate, despite players and staff being left furious at Arokodare’s behaviour. The attacker only signed for Wolves in the summer and is now likely to leave the club in the coming months.
