Lazio and Fenerbahce are close to an agreement over Matteo Guendouzi, with an improved bid expected to satisfy the club and prompt his departure within days.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Fenerbahce have increased their proposal after initially offering €25 million plus €two million in bonuses, while president Claudio Lotito had held out for €30 million.

If the terms are met, the 26-year-old is expected to remain available to Maurizio Sarri for Fiorentina on Wednesday and Hellas Verona on Sunday, then head to Türkiye early next week.

The January reshuffle is already under way, with Taty Castellanos sold to West Ham United for €30 million and RB Salzburg striker Petar Ratkov should arrive for €13 million.

Guendouzi’s exit would give Lazio time to secure a midfield replacement. Giovanni Fabbian appears the leading option, though Sarri still prefers a reunion with AC Milan’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
