Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri is keen to reunite with Lorenzo Insigne as soon as possible, despite being impeded by the transfer ban.
This summer, the Biancocelesti are prevented from making any new signings due to their unbalanced accounts based on their most recent financial report. Therefore, Sarri will be forced to start the campaign with the same squad that was at Marco Baroni’s disposal last season, minus Loum Tchaouna and any other player that the management will allow to leave.

The hierarchy will be hellbent on lifting the ban as soon as possible, but many believe that the club won’t be able to register any new players until January. Nevertheless, Sarri doesn’t wish to remain idle on the market until then, as he remains vigorous about reuniting with Insigne, who was essential to his tactical system during his three years at Napoli.
According to Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the manager would like to add the 34-year-old winger to his squad this summer, even if he’ll be eligible to play. The plan would be for Insigne to train with the Lazio players while only provided with insurance coverage, before signing an official contract once the transfer ban is lifted.
In recent days, it has been suggested that the free agent is willing to wait for the Aquile, even if he has offers from Udinese and Parma who can sign him straight away. However, it remains to be seen if Sarri can convince Claudio Lotito and Angelo Fabiani of his plan.
