Maxence Lacroix (26) is expected to leave Crystal Palace at the end of the season, amid interest from Premier League rivals, as per a report from RMC Sport.
Lacroix made his debut for the France national team in March and impressed Didier Deschamps enough to convince the manager of Les Bleus to take him to this summer’s FIFA World Cup. It is a significant step for Lacroix who is now set to take a step at club level.
As per RMC Sport, the Frenchman will play his last Premier League game for Crystal Palace today. Whilst his contract runs until 2029, Crystal Palace are aware that it will be difficult to keep the defender. The player himself now harbours ambitions of playing UEFA Champions League football, which Crystal Palace cannot offer.
The London-based club have set an asking price of €40m. There is interest across Europe, but particularly from clubs at the top of the Premier League.
