Liverpool head coach Arne Slot jokes Mo Salah must know something that the rest of the Premier League doesn’t, in relation to Manchester City’s 115 charges and possible relegation.

Salah was bang on form as Liverpool defeated the reigning Premier League champions on Sunday, before once again hinting his future maybe away from Anfield.

The forward claimed that Sunday’s win could possibly be his last home match against City but Slot made light of his comments.

“Maybe Mo knows more about the 115 acquisitions [charges] they’ve done, so he expects them not to be in the Premier League next season,” he joked.

“This isn’t the place for me to speak about Mo’s contract. I’ve probably already said too much about the joke, but let me repeat — it was just a joke.”

Slot’s remarks have added a playful dimension to an already intense title race, with Liverpool keen to maintain momentum at the top of the Premier League. Their next challenge sees them face Newcastle United at St. James’ Park tomorrow evening.
