Medhi Benatia will remain at Marseille after reversing his decision to depart, and Pablo Longoria’s remit has been curtailed. Owner Frank McCourt said in a statement that Benatia stays at least until the end of the season and will oversee the entirety of sporting activities.
Benatia had submitted his resignation on the ninth of February, hours before Roberto De Zerbi left as manager.

He made the decision public on Sunday, shortly after a 2-2 draw with RC Strasbourg Alsace, via a communiqué on Instagram.
The U-turn was confirmed on Tuesday morning.
Longoria’s influence will now be limited, with his responsibilities evolving. He remains OM’s representative in French and European bodies.
